THE 1940's RADIO HOUR
is an audience-participation, theatrical-broadcast of a live musical variety show originating from the Hotel Astor at a time when the world was at war, television was still science fiction and Swing was king.

It is Christmas, December 21, 1942. The harassed producer of a down-at-the-heels radio station is trying to get his weekly broadcast on the air with a cast of working-class entertainers (slightly disreputable and decidedly second-rate) and very uncommon

The make-believe radio program features fourteen performers in their hilarious attempt to make it to the "big time." This romantic trip down memory lane includes such unforgettable hits as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Ain't She Sweet", and "Blue Moon." Swinging live music, dancing, soulful ballads and hilarious commercials have made The 1940's Radio Hour an enjoyable holiday tradition.
