
THE 1940's RADIO HOUR
is an audience-participation, theatrical-broadcast of a live
musical variety show originating from the Hotel Astor at a time
when the world was at war, television was still science fiction
and Swing was king.

is Christmas, December 21, 1942. The harassed producer of a
down-at-the-heels radio station is trying to get his weekly
broadcast on the air with a cast of working-class entertainers
(slightly disreputable and decidedly second-rate) and very uncommon
The make-believe radio program features fourteen performers
in their hilarious attempt to make it to the "big time." This
romantic trip down memory lane includes such unforgettable hits
as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Ain't She Sweet",
and "Blue Moon." Swinging live music, dancing, soulful
ballads and hilarious commercials have made The 1940's Radio
