BLACK BOX THEATRE
It is a pleasure to welcome you to our 2024-2025 season! We want to thank all of our patrons for your tremendous financial support and for your loyal attendance. We want to thank our amazing volunteers who work countless hours on sets, as ushers and at the box office. Without you Main Street would not exist. It is hard to believe that we are already beginning our 24th year of telling stories. At Main Street, we strive to tell many different stories of life…some are funny, some sad, some disturbing and some uplifting and inspiring. Theatre presents a wonderful opportunity to tell difficult stories with challenging subject matter through humor and humanity. Such is the story you will see this evening. The story of Grace and Glorie is a delightful and touching look at a beautiful friendship and bond that developed by chance. Both characters are struggling with their own fears, regrets, guilt, and loss. As a result of their meeting, they discover a way to embrace the joy of life. This show holds a special place in my heart for a number of reasons. It was very meaningful to me to play the role of Glorie several years ago with my dear friend, Nancy Gresham, as Grace. Stepping on the other side of the stage and working with these amazing actors, Carla and Elise, has been an absolute joy. They will make you laugh…they will make you cry…they make me proud. I would like to extend very a special thank you to Marian Sorensen for her input and guidance on this production. Thank you to the stage crew who had a challenging schedule. Thank you to everyone who worked on the show. You all make magic happen on the stage. Enjoy the show, Norma Richardson
